Another £12,500 of small grants awarded!

At this month's Grants Panel meeting, the Foundation has awarded £12,500 of grants to 14 community groups.  Awards included £1,000 towards the cost of transport for the Friendly Bombs Theatre Company (pictured below) who work with people with learning disabilities which is currently working on productions of Oliver Twist and The Fall of the House of Usher.

Other groups receiving grants include Aylesbury Citizens Advice Bureau, High Wycombe Job of Work Clubs, 1st Stewkley Scouts, Chandos Park Bowls Club and The Lantern Club in Holmer Green that  works with the victims of strokes and dementia sufferes, and their families.

"These awards have been possible thanks to the genorosity of our local individual and business supporters," said Richard Dickson, Director of the Foundation. "We received a huge number of high quality of applications, many of them from community groups showing very innovative responses to the challenges that they're facing, and with even more support from local people, professional advisers and companies, we would have been able to make even more awards."
