Grassroots Acorn Fund

Plant the seed and watch the tree grow

If you choose to donate money to one of our Grassroots Acorn Funds, your donation will join the donations of others who wish to support grant making addressing a particular issue.  This allows us very quickly to build the amount in order to generate a yield which will support a greater number of grants.  We will tell you regularly which local voluntary groups and projects your donation has supported.

It is easy to donate to an Acorn Fund.  We can accept lump sum donations of any amount up to £25,000 (if you wish to donate at this level or above, you may prefer to consider an Individual Named Fund) OR a monthly standing order.  If you donate £65 per month to an Acorn Fund, with Gift Aid attached, this becomes worth £1000 per year.  Until March 2011 we can also claim an additional 100% of match funding under the Grassroots Programme, resulting in a contribution of £2000 to an Acorn Fund.  It will not take long for these Acorn Funds to build into substantial sums as more and more people see the benfits of donating in this way.

The yield from each of the Acorn Funds will provide grants to Buckinghamshire community groups and projects addressing the needs of the fund criteria.  Help us to help them make a difference.
