Small Grants Scheme
WHO CAN APPLY?
Voluntary and community groups operating within the County of Buckinghamshire.
CRITERIA
- To assist those most disadvantaged in the community.
- To support community care for the elderly and people with disabilities.
- Tackling isolation - to improve transport in rural areas - support
minority groups and improve access to services and information.
- Investing in young people to encourage education, training and self-development.
The overall priority is to support organisations and groups whose
work is aiming to tackle poverty and social exclusion.
The Foundation has its own grant-making programme and also manages a
range of funds on behalf of individuals and companies who may have different
objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- That your project is well managed and holds up-to-date financial records,
which can be made available to the Foundation.
- That the activity is well planned, realistic and well organised.
- A commitment to equal opportunities and local people.
EXCLUSIONS
Application will not be considered in the following areas:
- Organisations and projects operating solely outside the County of
Buckinghamshire.
- Promotion of religious causes.
- Overseas travel for individuals.
- Individuals.
- Party political activities.
- Fee-paying schools.
- Organisations whose principal concern is animal welfare.
- The relief of statutory responsibilities.
- Recurrent expenditure or ongoing core costs.
MONITORING
The Foundation reserve the right to ask for a report six months after
the grant has been paid and to recall a grant if it has not been used
for the purposes stated on the grant application form.

Community Support Fund
We have recently established a new fund to provide Small
Grants of up to £1,000 to voluntary and community groups operating in
specific areas of high need within the County.
These areas may include: Southcourt, Walton Court, Mandeville,
Elmhurst, Quarrendon, parts of Pitstone, parts of Buckingham, Marsh, Micklefield,
Cressex, parts of Lane End, Kingswood, Castlefield, Pond Park, parts of
Iver, parts of Burnham.
Buckinghamshire has a very high concentration of wealth
close to small pockets of rural deprivation that are masked. The areas
covered by this fund are constantly changing and are agreed at the discretion
of our independent voluntary grants panel, working closely with our dedicated
and experienced grants outreach officers.

Sport Relief Grants Scheme www.sportrelief.com
A grant making programme managed by Buckinghamshire Community Foundation.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Voluntary and Community groups operating within the county
of Buckinghamshire who are using sport and exercise to address exclusion
or disadvantage through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities,
race, sexuality or gender. Priority is to be given to small, locally based
groups or organizations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding
of the needs of their community.
Sport Relief Grants Scheme
CRITERIA
- Increasing access to sport and exercise for people who face social
exclusion or isolation
- Helping people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives to
regain their confidence and self esteem
- Supporting ongoing projects rather than "one-offs"
REQUIREMENTS
- That your project is well managed and holds up-to-date financial records,
which can be made available to the Foundation.
- That the activity is well planned, realistic and well organised.
- A commitment to equal opportunities and local people.
- The organisation will co-operate with any reasonable requests by Comic
Relief for publicity reports relating to the use of the Grants, including
films and interviews for Comic Relief campaigns.
- The organisation will not use the Comic Relief and Sport Relief trademarks
and logos without Comic Relief's prior written consent.
- The organisation will provide Comic Relief access to its premises,
personnel and records (including the right to copy the records) as and
when requested.
EXCLUSIONS
Application will not be considered in the following areas:
- Organisations and projects operating solely outside the County of
Buckinghamshire.
- Promotion of religious causes.
- Trips abroad.
- Individuals.
- Party political activities.
- Statutory organisations (such as schools).
- Mini buses.
- Building costs or access adaptations to buildings.
MONITORING
- The Foundation will ask for a report 6 months after the grant has
been paid.
